MEET THE QBK SPORTS TEAM

Coach Kevin Edwards has been a fixture on the New York Beach Volleyball scene for the last 10 years, but his deep connection to volleyball goes all the way back to 1995 when he began playing volleyball at both club and college levels in his native Trinidad and Tobago.  Kevin quickly rose through the ranks to make the junior national volleyball team and had the honor of representing his country at the Under-19 level at the first-ever Junior National Caribbean Championship.  Kevin went on to represent his country at junior and senior levels over a 12 year period until 2009.

Kevin Edwards also expanded his career into Beach Volleyball and went on to play for Trinidad and Tobago between 2004 and 2008 at various international tournaments.

Throughout his career, both on the court and the sand, Kevin accumulated numerous individual awards such as “Best Defensive Player” and “Best Passer” for various tournaments, culminating with being named to the “Team of the Year” in Trinidad and Tobago in 2006.  Upon transitioning into coaching Kevin earned all certifications to become a Level 2 International FIVB Volleyball Coach.  In his time coaching the Baruch College volleyball team, he has coached four “Player of the Year” award recipients, and multiple “All-Star” players, earning him the “Coach of the Year” award in 3 out of the last 4 years.  At the same time, Coach Edwards began coaching beach volleyball at Chelsea Piers and outdoors under his own KEV brand during the summer months.
